Managing an AIP runway extension project, Chris Rodgers, Executive Director of Erie International Airport, realized he faced a challenge with an additional 92 acres to mow in an area prone to Canada Geese. He learned about FlightTurf® when he heard Christina Kobland and Calvin Davenger, Deputy Director of Aviation, speak about its use in Philadelphia.
Mr. Rodgers said of his decision to seed all 160 acres in FlightTurf®, “I saw no downside to using FlightTurf®. If it reduces mowing and deters wildlife, great.
